2008 War on the Shore Rules
 
Teams will consist of no more than 10 players, unless pre-approved by the tournament committee.
All players must reside within the same city except with explicit approval in "same school" situations.
Rosters may consist of no greater than 4 younger players "playing up" unless registration approval is granted by division and league director to assure competitiveness.
 
Lake Erie Basketball League "Revised" Rules are in effect for all games.  Summary below:
TIMING of the GAME:
• Games consist of two eighteen (18) minute halves.

• The clock stops on all shooting fouls and will restarts when the referee hands the ball to the shooter for the 2nd shot. (The same applies in a one-and-one situation except the clock will start if the first foul shot is missed when the ball hits [or falls off] the rim.)

• The clock stops on all whistles in the final one minute of the first half and final 2 minutes of the second half and overtime.

• The clock will not stop if a team leads by 15 or more point with less than 9 minutes remaining in the 2nd half or later.

• Halftime is 4 minutes (subject to scorers and referee's discression)

• Each team will have three (3) time outs per game – one minute each, subject to the discretion of the referee or scorekeeper if a game is running late.

• The scorer’s time clock is official and final – the referee’s whistle at the conclusion of each half ends the half/game.

OVERTIME:
• A three-minute overtime period will be played in the event of a tie. Each team will be awarded one (1) additional time out.

• A 2nd three-minute overtime period will be played in the event of a tie at the conclusion of the 1st overtime period. One additional time out will be awarded to each team. At the end of the 2nd overtime, if the game is still tied – the game will be score a tie.

• (Semifinal and Championship play will continue overtime periods until a winner is determined)

DEFENSE:
• A press is only allowed in the 2nd half of any game and overtime periods, only if a team is not leading by 15 or more points.

All grades – Any defense is allowed.

FOUL SHOTS & 3-POINT SCORING:
• 4th & 5th grade divisions will shoot all foul shots from 12’, no jjumping on or over teh line

• 4th grade divisions – no 3-point field goal

(These tournament rules override the LEBL modified rules .  Then LEBL modified rule are in effect. Then OSHAA rules apply.)
